Proper lawn care begins with sharp blades, correct mowing height, not mowing while the grass is wet and going the right speed. We sharpen our blades every day after we mow, that way you always receive the best cut on your yard and it always looks amazing. After we mow and trim your yard to perfection, we use a leaf blower to blow your driveway and the road and/or sidewalks in front of your house so it does not look messy and unkempt. We make sure everything is the way we would want it if we were paying for somebody to take care of our yard. Mowing your yard with dull blades rips the grass instead of cutting it cleanly, when the blades of grass are ripped they are open to infection with parasites, they will turn yellow, a number of different things could happen. If you, or the person taking care of your yard, are mowing to short it will not keep the grass high enough to grow healthy, if the grass is not getting cut short enough then the proper sunlight, water and nutrients aren't getting to the roots and you have the possibility that the grass will mat down and create thatch that will require to be lightly raked up without tearing the grass out of the ground. If the grass is being mowed when its wet you have the possibility of tearing the ground up with the tires and not all of the blades of grass will be cut. If the mower is going to fast then all blades of grass will not be cut and especially weeds that tend to be tougher than regular blades of grass and weeds will be left standing after the grass has been mowed. 

In order to ensure that your grass is getting cut short enough but not so short that it burns out before the season is over we adjust our mowing height several times during the season. Who wants dead grass in the middle of August? I personally, would prefer good, healthy green grass right up until it stops growing because it’s too cold, not because its burnt from being cut to short. All of the yards I maintain are as healthy and green as they were in May and June. Yes they do slow on growing but they are as green and healthy as can be.
